Star-News: Cascade Police Chief Resigns, Takes Garden City Job

Less than a month after Cascade saw its controversial mayor resign, the Valley County city has now lost its police chief, though the two resignations are not related.

The McCall Star-News reports that Cascade Police Chief Ryan Redmon resigned last week after spending 16 of his 19 years in law enforcement in Cascade. Redmon said he was leaving to take a job as a patrolman in Garden City. The Star-News reports that the Cascade City Council accepted Redmon's resignation but did not yet select an acting chief.

The Star-News reports that Redmon managed a four-person police force, with an annual budget of $431,000.
