A traffic stop March 14 landed a man behind bars after a Boise Police Department K-9 named Ruwa alerted an officer that drugs were present in the vehicle.
Jacob L. Beutler, 22, of Boise was arrested on charges of possession of a controlled substance, driving without privileges and possession of drug paraphernalia. Beutler was pulled over near Franklin Road and Philippi Street at approximately 9 p.m., after an officer observed Beutler perform an improper lane change.
Records showed Beutler is currently suspended from driving. As officers spoke with the driver, Ruwa alerted on the vehicle, indicating the likely presence of drugs.
A search of the vehicle revealed a used syringe and a plastic baggie containing a small amount of meth, according to Boise Police.
