Two traffic stops resulted in three arrests early this morning.
Boise Police said they stopped a vehicle after noting a canceled registration near Vista Avenue and Elder Street. A K-9 police dog alerted officers of the presence of drugs and a search revealed meth and drug paraphernalia. A check through Ada County records indicated that the passenger of the vehicle was wanted on an outstanding charge of contempt of court.
Steven Bowman, 30, of Eagle was charged with possession of meth and drug paraphernalia and Kayla Martinez, 20, of Boise was charged with contempt of court.
Also this morning, police observed an illegal lane change on Orchard Street. The driver appeared to be very intoxicated and failed several field sobriety tests, blowing a 0.19 blood alcohol level. A check through city records indicated the suspect had prior DUI convictions.
Christina Sullivan, 29, of Boise was charged with a felony count of DUI and driving without privileges.
