Boise Man Charged With Involuntary Manslaughter, DUI in Connection With Deadly Lucky Peak Crash

David Persons, 31, is charged with involuntary manslaughter, DUI and driving without privileges.

A Boise man will be arraigned today, when he'll answer to a charge of involuntary manslaughter in connection with an August 2012 accident at Lucky Peak Reservoir, which resulted in the death of the man's 4-year-old stepdaughter.

David Persons, 31, was arrested Jan. 29. Investigators allege he was drunk when he drove his vehicle off of Arrowrock Road and into the water. Persons, his wife, son and 9-year-old daughter escaped the vehicle but the infant did not.

Law enforcement said Person's blood-alcohol level was .087.

In addition to involuntary manslaughter, Persons is charged with DUI and driving without privileges.
