Health officials have issued warnings to travelers who may have passed through the Portland and Seatle airports on Friday, Jan. 18. That's when the Seattle and King County Public Health Department says a passenger with contagious measles made a stop at each airport.

Measles is highly contagious and health officials are particularly concerned about people who may not be immune. The unvaccinated are at highest risk, as well as pregnant women, infants younger than six months and those with weakened immune systems.

The Associated Press reports that the contagious traveler flew from Amsterdam to Seattle and on to Portland, where he utlimatly received medical treatment, which triggered the notification to travelers.
