Boise Man Cuffed After Knife-Wielding Incident at Hotel

Boise Police say that by the time they arrived at a hotel at approximately 11:40 p.m. Wednesday night on the 2600 block of West Fairview Avenue, a woman said she was threatened at knife-point by a man who was well known to her.

The victim told police that she and the man had been drinking alcohol at the hotel, but the man became aggressive and threatened her with a knife. The victim said she managed to get out of the room without injury until the police arrived.

Police transported 55-year-old Thomas Herman of Boise to the Ada County Jail, where he was charged with a felony count of aggravated assault.
