Boise Police were busy on Thursday with a number of suspects who didn't have too much holiday cheer on their minds.
Law enforcement was called by a business owner on South 15th Street, who said that two men entered his business and began asking for money. After they were asked to leave, the owner said the pair returned, banging on his front door. Police located one of the suspects in a car, where he failed several field sobriety tests.
Arthur Ruth, 58, of Boise was charged with a felony count of driving under the influence. Police said Ruth had prior convictions for DUI, making this charge a felony.
Police were also called to a home near West Emerald Avenue and North Curtis Road last night. That's where a female victim said when she approached a home to conduct some private business, 33-year-old Philip Haggarty of Boise pointed a handgun at her.
Haggarty was booked into the Ada County lockup on a felony charge of aggravated assault.
Police also picked up a Boise woman, wanted on an outstanding felony warrant for the manufacture of a controlled substance. Law enforcement said a previous raid on the suspect's home netted more than 72 grams of meth.
Michelle Ables, 41, was booked into the Ada County Jail on the felony drug charge.
