Following a protracted search and interview process, McCall finally has a new city manager.
This week's McCall Star-News reports that the McCall City Council unanimously voted to hire Gene Drabinski, who had been filling in as the interim city manager since the resignation and departure of former manager Lindley Kirkpatrick. He resigned in May before moving his family to Scotland in August.
The Star-News reports that the McCall City Council deliberated for more than two hours in a closed meeting before voting unanimously for Drabinski's appointment.
The Star-News reports that the 67-year-old Drabinski retired in 2008 after 30 years in health care management. He holds degrees in nursing and history.
