The Idaho Statesman is about to put up a paywall between its online content and readers.
The Statesman announced in Sunday's edition that, beginning later this month, readers will have limited access to a select number of online stories before the paper begins requiring payment. Readers will begin seeing more warnings about the pay-for-content change when a preview of the online paywall goes live Wednesday, Nov. 14.
How much will you be asked to pay when the online paywall goes into effect on Monday, Nov. 26?
How does $6.95 per month grab you? After a 99-cent "introductory" charge for the first month, the digital subscription shoots up to $6.95.
For those who already subscribe to the print edition of the Statesman, the online access charge will depend on how often you get the paper delivered.
