A Boise convenience store clerk told police that a would-be customer wanted some wine last night, and plenty of it.
Jacob Christensen, 35, of Boise is behind bars charged with felony burglary and outstanding misdemeanor warrants.
Christensen walked into the store late Monday night, but the clerk refused to sell him alcohol because Christensen appeared to be intoxicated. Christensen returned a short time later, and again was refused service. But Boise Police said Christensen, upon his second attempt, picked up four boxes of wine and walked away without paying.
When Boise Police approached Christensen a short time later, officers said the suspect had a hard time keeping his balance and again appeared to be intoxicated. When he was booked into the Ada County Jail, police discovered that Christensen had two outstanding warrants.
