  • This English Bulldog puppy was taken at gunpoint on Friday but rescued Sunday.

In a scene right out of the movie Seven Psychopaths, the current big-screen story about a warped group of pooch-nappers, police say they have resolved a bizarre case of a puppy taken at gunpoint.

KGW-TV in Portland reports that an English Bulldog puppy was stolen at gunpoint Oct. 19 from an Oregon City couple.

Police said the owner of a Vancouver kennel had arranged to meet the dog's owners and buy the puppy for $2,000, but the man who came to meet the owners flashed a weapon and took off with the dog.

Police in Vancouver, Wash., tracked the dog on Sunday to an address where, following a three-hour standoff, 23-year-old Jajuane Etheridge was busted for possession of stolen property.

The puppy was located in a closed suitcase, according to the dog's owners.
