A Caldwell woman was slapped with a 10-year prison term, with two years fixed, for her part in an insurance fraud. Fourth District Judge Tim Hansen suspended the prison sentence and retained jurisdiction for up to one year.

Martha Feely, 46, admitted in federal Idaho court to forging bond documents to the Boise City Planning and Zoning Commission, the Ada County Highway District and the Idaho Department of Finance and Administration. The fraudulent documents were attached to a sewer project located on Verde Street in Boise. A construction company is required to submit proof of bonding before a public entity can grant a bid.

Feely was already on felony probation in California for a similar crime when she was arrested in Idaho.
