36-year-old Steven Cranney is charged with battery on a police officer and resisting and obstructing.

A Boise man was apparently a little too anxious to get into City Hall last night.

Steven Cranney, 36, is cooling his heels at the Ada County Jail, charged with battery on a police officer and resisting arrest.

Construction workers flagged down Boise Police Tuesday at 9 p.m., saying Cranny was insisting on getting into City Hall. When officers arrived, they said Cranney became more angry, going nose-to-nose with one of the construction workers. Police said at one point, Cranney grabbed an officer, attempting to pull him to the ground.

A short time later, Cranney was booked into jail.

Looking at his booking photo, it appears that Cranney's nose met something much firmer than another nose.
