Sun Valley Assistant Police Chief Suspended For DUI Charge

The assistant police chief of Sun Valley has been suspended with pay after being charged with driving while intoxicated.

This morning's Idaho Mountain Express reports that Mike Crawford was suspended nine days following an Aug. 11 incident in which Hailey Police said the assistant chief backed into a parked vehicle and failed three field sobriety tests and registered a blood alcohol level more than double the legal limit.

Crawford faces arraignment in Blane County Magistrate Court on Aug. 27.
