The City of Boise announced road closures in anticipation of the citywide celebration of Kristin Armstrong's second Olympic gold medal win.
A caravan of bikes will join Armstrong on two wheels at the Boise Depot at 2:30 p.m. today. They will travel the length of Capitol Boulevard, ending in Capitol Park near the Statehouse.
Jefferson Street between Sixth and Eighth streets will be closed between 1:30 p.m. and 5 p.m.
Capitol Boulevard from the Boise Depot to Jefferson Street will be closed from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m. It will be a rolling closure as the caravan makes its way down the street.
The east lane of Capitol Boulevard will be closed completely from 1:30 p.m. to 5 p.m.
Eastover Terrace will be closed from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Access to the Boise Depot will only be available by bicycle or on foot. No vehicular parking will be allowed.
