Let's Be Careful Out There: Second Bad Downtown Accident in a Few Hours

It's not a good day for motorists—and at least one cyclist—in Boise's downtown today. Less than a few hours after a bad two-car accident required the jaws of life to rescue a driver from mangled wreckage at Capitol Boulevard and Front Street, a cyclist was hit by a motorist on Broad Street, between Fourth and Fifth streets.

Eyewitnesses told Citydesk that the cyclist was riding north through an alley and onto Broad Street when a motorist, traveling east on Broad hit the bicycle, throwing the cyclist to the ground.

Ada County paramedics were expected to transport the injured cyclist to Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center in Boise.
