A Boise man faces the possibility of life behind bars following his 14th DUI conviction. Terry Lee Ash, 55, was also convicted of being a persistent violator of the law. Ash has now been convicted of eight felonies, six DUIs and one each for grand theft and issuing checks without funds. His convictions have spanned 32 years, from 1980 until 2012.
Ash was arrested in September 2011 following a single-vehicle crash. Law enforcement registered Ash's blood alcohol content at .13 at the time.
Ash is being held without bond in the Ada County Jail. He is slated for sentencing on Wednesday, Aug. 22.
