Treasure Valley temperatures in the 90s will be but a memory by Tuesday.
The National Weather Service has issued a red flag warning for the region, beginning at 3 p.m., predicting winds of 25-35 mph, with gusts of up to 50 mph by late this afternoon. The winds will usher in a moderate-to-strong cold front, thunderstorms and then steady showers after midnight.
Forecasters are predicting a 40 degree drop by Tuesday with a good chance of more rain.
The long-range forecast calls for improving conditions by mid-week, but high temperatures only hovering between 70-75 degrees.
