Meridian School Prank Results in Bust of 19 Seniors

Meridian Police confirmed that 19 Mountain View High School students were cited for trashing their school as part of a senior prank. The 19 - all over the age of 18 - were charged with unlawful entry and malicious injury to property. Six others - under the age of 18 - face possible curfew violations.

Police said the students broke into Mountain View High School Sunday night, poured cooking oil on floors and stairwells, threw trash on the floors and zip-tied lockers together. Police said the teens confessed to getting a key to the building from a school employee.

Meridian school district officials are still working out how the students will be disciplined in addition to the criminal charges.
