Mike Simpson Lines Up Idaho Lawmakers As County Chairmen

Chairmen include Reps. Andrus, Bell, Heider and Wills and Sen. Tippets.

Idaho Republican Congressman Mike Simpson, currently running for his eighth term in the U.S. House of Representatives, has unveiled the names of team members, including a number of Idaho legislators, who will help manage his county campaign efforts.

Republican Reps. Ken Andrus (Bannock), Maxine Bell (Jerome), Lee Heider (Twin Falls) and Rich Wills (Elmore) are on the list, in addition to Republican Sen. John Tippets (Bear Lake) and Island Park Mayor Tom Jewell (Fremont). Boise architect Dave Shurtleff and his wife Jacqui will serve as Simpson's Ada County coordinators.

Simpson faces Chick Heileson of Idaho Falls in the May 15 primary. If successful, Simpson may face off against Boise Democratic State Sen. Nicole LeFavour, who is challenged by Jack Chappell of Buhl and Eldon Wallace of Boise in the Democratic primary.
