Romney Trifecta Spurs Calls for Santorum to Quit

The calls are growing for Rick Santorum to drop out of the presidential sweepstakes as Mitt Romney's delegate lead grows. Tuesday night, Arizona Republican Sen. and 2008 presidential candidate John McCain said "it's time for a graceful exit" by Santorum.

In advance of Romney's successes in Wisconsin, Maryland and the District of Columbia, President Barack Obama on Tuesday singled out Romney by name during a major address aimed at a proposed budget crafted by GOP Rep. Paul Ryan and endorsed by Romney.

The next contest, Pennsylvania - Santorum's home state - presents a particularly unique challenge for Romney. A win by the former Massachusetts governor would further diminish Santorum's quickly shrinking chance of securing the nomination.
