The latest poll, out this morning from The New York Times/CBS News, indicates that Rick Santorum has quickly caught up to Mitt Romney among Republican voters nationwide.

The new survey said 30 percent of GOP primary voters say they support Santorum, compared with 27 percent for Romney. The poll, a virtual dead heat, reflects a significant jump for the former Pennsylvania senator.

Texas Congressman Ron Paul registered 12 percent and former House Speaker Newt Gingrich garnered 10 percent in the new poll.

Santorum brings his presidential campaign to Idaho today with a noontime rally in Coeur d'Alene before appearing at Boise's Capital High School auditorium at 7 p.m.
