The FBI has admitted that somebody has been listening to its calls. They just don't know who that somebody is.
The infamous hacker organization that calls itself Anonymous posted a 16-minute recording of a phone call among the FBI, Scotland Yard and other international police agencies. While the FBI confirmed that the call was real, agents said Anonymous had not hacked into any bureau facilities but accessed the file by getting the time, telephone number and access code for the Jan. 13 phone call.
"The information was intended for law enforcement officers only and was illegally obtained," said a FBI statement. "A criminal investigation is under way to identify and hold accountable those responsible."
The subject of the phone call was an international probe into Anonymous and its activities.
