According to a northern Idaho newspaper, officials with Idaho Fish and Game have notified some Panhandle residents that it is legal to shoot a wolf pack, in the wake of recent wolf attacks on domestic dogs. One resident of the town of Mullan said the pack even chased his daughter into their house, coming right up to his front porch.
"They just can't coexist with people," Barry Sadler told the Shoshone News Press. "It's impossible, as long as they run wild they'll continue to kill everything until there's nothing left."
Sadler has already shot and killed one of the wolves. Sadler said his dogs have tangled with the pack on several occasions.
"They'll come up to the porch covered in blood," he said.
