Idaho House Speaker Lawerence Denney is pushing back hard against what he called "incendiary language" from Statehouse Democrats calling for a state ethics commission.
Earlier this week, the Legislature's Democratic Caucus, citing what they called a "culture of corruption," called for an eight-member ethics commission. But today, Denney said such language from the Dems would "make it difficult for the two sides to work together for the betterment of our constituents."
Instead, Denney said, he wanted "to implement a culture of cooperation. We hope the Democrats in the Legislature share our vision."
