For years, the Donate Life organization has hosted a float in the annual Pasadena, Calif., Rose Parade, commemorating the lives of organ donors. This year, the float included handmade floragraphs—tribute portraits made of seeds and flowers—from two Idaho families.
In December of last year, the Idaho Transportation Department honored the family of Lacey Haye, a 19-year-old woman whose gift of life saved the lives of two and rehabilitated two more.
Drew Swank, a high school football player whose life was taken on the field, was also remembered on the float.
Dixie Madsen from Intermountain Donor Services sent the pictures above, which include the floragraphs of Lacey and Drew, and the float, a colorful assemblage of clocks with yellow roses.
