New Forecast: Idaho Should See Higher Revenues

Idaho's latest economic forecast sheds cautious optimism on the rest of Fiscal Year 2012.

The newest report from the Division of Financial Management revises Idaho revenues to be higher than first projections, almost $80 million higher. The projection, $2.6 billion, surpasses the current state budget set by the 2011 Idaho Legislature at $2.43 billion.

But the new forecast has a sputtering jobs outlook with only a 2.3 percent growth in 2012 and 2013, followed by a 2.8 percent growth in 2014.
