As Treasure Valley temperatures again come perilously close to triple digits, another air quality alert has been posted for today.
The Air Quality Index forecast is 75, a level at which open, outdoor burning and burning in fireplaces is prohibited. Unusually sensitive people are asked to consider limiting their outdoor activities. If the AQI hits 100, children, older adults and people with lung diseases should limit their outdoor exertion.
Sunshine is expected to prevail through the week ahead but temperatures should cool slightly by midweek, with highs in the mid-80s.
