Most Idahoans receive a $50 grocery tax credit. Low-income individuals and seniors receive an $80 credit.

Everyone was scheduled for an extra $10 credit in 2012 but a measure making its way to the Idaho House wants to delay the increase. If approved, the measure is expected to save the state $15 million.

The bill passed through the Idaho House Revenue and Taxation Committee this morning on a 14-3 party line vote.
