Everyone's still waiting to see who shows their hand in the marathon game of legal poker over the mega-loads sitting at the Port of Lewiston.
Late on Nov. 1, Idaho's State Supreme Court handed down a decision vacating a ruling for District Judge John Bradbury, which stopped the Idaho Transportation Department from issuing permits to allow ConocoPhillips to roll the massive loads across Idaho's U.S. Highway 12.
Meanwhile, ITD spokesman Jeff Stratten told Citydesk that a Deputy with the Idaho Attorney General's office Wasden is reviewing the ruling and is expected to advise the transportation department on how to proceed.
Would Laird know if ITD went ahead and granted permits?
"That's a good question," said Laird. "They have a duty to tell the public what they're going to do well before they move forward."
But for now, nothing is moving anywhere.
