In his ruling, Bradbury expressed concern for a possible breakdown.
"ITD's failure to address the inevitable accident that could shut down Highway 12 for days or weeks overlooks the quintessential disaster and its effects on the users of Highway 12 that Emmert [the hauling company] itself forecasts as possible," Bradbury wrote.
Democratic Gubernatorial candidate Keith Allred weighed in on the ruling, saying it "confirms my point that we have had inadequate answers to important questions on this project."
While Gov. C.L. "Butch" Otter has called for a $10 million bond for the transport, he has repeatedly said that the project had been properly vetted.
