Best Biting the Hand that Claps for You

Mirah at Neurolux

Editors' Picks

Once upon a time, there was a popular Northwest indie singer-songwriter who decided to play a show at Neurolux. But upon arriving in town, the lady was not impressed by the venue's smoky rowdiness. So, she decided she'd put an end to this delinquent behavior. "Smoking be damned!" she decreed. And the Lux abided. "Is anyone listening?" she huffed in between songs, and the audience responded "Yeah!" But they kept chatting. Finally, she had reached the end of her wits, "Shhhh!" she hissed. But the audience, tired of being verbally spanked, had already retreated to the patio for a smoke.
