The Cabin, if you happen to catch a glimpse of it while driving north on Capitol Boulevard, looks out of place—like a museum piece that snuck out of an exhibit. It's small, made of logs and nestled anachronistically between the Boise Public Library and the modern asphalt path that is the Boise Greenbelt.
But The Cabin is more than just an architectural oddity—it's the hub of Boise's literary world with readings, classes and camps throughout the year.
Today from 5-7 p.m., the Cabin is hosting a literary Shindig where the public can learn more about the Cabin's literary functions. Meet writing teachers, learn about the Cabin's literary camps, enjoy refreshments and win prizes. The event is free to attend.
