Radio Boise, KRBX 89.9 FM, has done more than expand its frequencies with the recent addition of 93.5 FM. The radio station has also added more physical space to help grow its sound.

Tonight, First Thursday, Feb. 7, Radio Boise will host an open house to showcase its new office space, a reorganized main room and a production studio that’s still under construction.

The expansion adds 200 to 300 square feet of new space. With the new production studio comes more opportunities for news production, pre-recording media and interviews, and a space for editing video and media. The walls will be covered with the same soundproof paneling used in the current studio, but the new area will be used more as an interview space. The live studio will now exclusively host live bands.

You can check out the open house from 5-9 p.m. at 1020 Main St. There will be snacks, a quick tour of the new expansion and an overview of activities Radio Boise will be participating in this year, like Treefort Music Fest and Taste208.
