Boise's newest parlor game is guessing which retailer could go into a square of shops proposed for the parcel of land framed by Capitol Boulevard, Front, Sixth and Broad streets.
Soon after Boise Weekly first broke the story that the proposed development would soon go before the City of Boise's Design Review Committee, public officials and private developers circled the wagons and wouldn't talk about the plans—at least on the record:
"I have confidentiality."
"Yes, we've signed confidentiality agreements."
But a closer look at the plans for at least one of the structures has a very familiar footprint.
We'll report on what people are saying and not saying (at least officially) in Wednesday's BW.
Plus, we'll examine how the City of Boise is about to ask its citizenry to compose a wish list of public projects that could include a pretty significant addition: a new main branch of the public library.
